Senior Sales Executive – New Business

Location: Remote (North America - N. East Preferred)

With the rapid evolution of AI, increased regulatory scrutiny, and lack of fit-for-purpose tooling financial services’ Model Risk Management (MRM) and AI Governance functions are under enormous pressure to ensure compliance. We are passionate to help these organizations seamlessly and confidently test, validate, and document their business’ AI models, while ensuring compliance with domestic and international AI and model risk regulations.

As a Sr. Sales Executive, you will use your expertise in financial services, model risk management, and responsible AI governance to drive new business, selling to medium and large banking accounts across N. America.  You will sell innovation and change based on customer needs by identifying, developing, and closing new sales opportunities from prospecting and pipeline development through to contract negotiations as this is a pure hunting role.  You are driven by understanding a product in-depth and are passionate about communicating its value to customers and partners.  You will continuously hunt for new opportunities, close new accounts, and build strong customer relationships as well as provide accurate forecasts on a regular basis.  This is a “build” opportunity so you will be instrumental in shaping the N. America region.

 Your Impact:

  • Proactively hunt, assess, and engage decision making functions to close new sales opportunities within the N. America Banking sector, leveraging a strong network of contacts.
  • Utilize a solution selling approach to create value and reduce customers’ risk.
  • Be a self-starter taking ownership of developing accounts, forecasting and overall business development efforts.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the competitive landscape, industry trends and regulatory changes (e.g., SR11-7 and impending US federal and state legislation), particularly in the areas of AI technologies in financial services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate and bring opportunities to closure, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term success.
  • Work closely with Executives to develop pricing proposals.
  • Establish relationships with third-party vendors or partners as needed.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other lead generation events to further enhance our brand.

Success Factors:

  • Previous experience working for a fast-paced early-stage company, preferably as the first Sales Executive and in the AI technology, AI Governance, MLOps, AI Observability, or for a banking platform vendor.
  • Proven track record as a hunter/closer of new sales opportunities, with a strong network within the N. America banking sector.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and aggressive approach to sales.
  • Ability to take ownership of the entire sales process and drive deals to closure.
  • Enterprise sales experience articulating value to key stakeholders, with a focus in the Banking sector.
  • Familiarity with AI technology and financial services.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Capacity to build and maintain relationships with mid/large-sized banks.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to design and execute growth plans.

Pay Range Transparency:

ValidMind is committed to fair and equitable pay practices.  The pay range for this role is listed below and represents base salary range.  Actual pay packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location.  Based on the factors above, ValidMind utilizes the full width of the range.

Pay Range: USD $120,000 – $175,000 + Commissions.
