Vice President of Sales – North America

With the growth of its activities globally, ValidMind is looking for a motivated, talented, and enthusiastic Vice President of Sales to join our Sales team. Reporting to the CEO and interacting with an international sales organization, solutions architects, product management, engineering, and other team members is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior executive looking to enhance their careers within a market-leading organization.

Position Summary:

As the Vice President of Sales in the Americas, you will use your expertise and network in financial services, model risk management, and AI governance to drive new business, with an initial focus on the North American region. You will build and lead the sales team selling innovative AI risk management solutions to financial institutions. This role is crucial for taking ValidMind from $3M in ARR to $50M in ARR and beyond. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, building and mentoring a high-performing sales team and driving exponential growth.

What You’ll Be Doing & Your Impact:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Identify and target key financial institutions, particularly banks, to expand ValidMind’s market presence.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
  • Utilize a solution-selling approach to create value and reduce customers’ risk.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to optimize sales processes and strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate and bring opportunities to closure, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term success.
  • Represent ValidMind at industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote our solutions.
  • Work closely with Executives to develop pricing proposals.
  • Establish relationships with third-party vendors or partners as needed.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other lead-generation events to further enhance our brand.

Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified:

  • Extensive experience selling AI solutions to financial services, particularly banks, in the North American region.
  • Proven track record of taking a company from $3M in ARR to $50M in ARR.
  • Experience from companies like Moody’s, DataRobot, DataBricks, Tableau, or other AI Fintech companies is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working for a fast-paced early-stage company, preferably in AI technology, AI Governance, MLOps, or AI Observability.
  • Strong knowledge of AI Risk Management, AI Governance, and Model Risk Management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to design and execute growth plans.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record as a hunter for new sales opportunities.
  • Ability to take ownership of the entire sales process and drive deals to closure.
  • Capacity to build and maintain relationships with mid/large-sized banks.

Nice-to-Have(s):

  • Familiarity with AI technology in financial services, with a focus on AI Risk Management.
